Fire report for week of March 22

At 11:20 p.m. on March 27, the El Dorado Springs Fire Department dispatched to an abandoned house on 32 Hwy. and south 601 Rd. The structure was fully involved on arrival. The cause is undetermined and under investigation. Nineteen firefighters with Trucks 2, 6 and Tanker 1 responded.

Local student receives Pitt State Scholarship

  Brock Kirbey, son of Jose and Troy Kirbey of El Dorado Springs, has been named the recipient of a $2,000 Music Scholarship and a $500 Academic Scholarship to Pittsburg (KS) State University. The scholarship is for the 2020-2021 academic semesters.
