West Union Missionary Baptist Church will begin a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3. Brother Ralph Benham will bring the nightly devotional; County Missionary Brother Ron Pitts will bring the nightly message. The services will be held in the outdoor pavilion located behind the church.

The Cedar County Republican Party Central Committee will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Room 5 of the Cedar County Courthouse. The purpose of this meeting is for committee reorganization of newly elected members. The public is welcome to attend.

Glade Springs Missionary Baptist Church will start a revival at 7:30 Saturday, Aug. 18 with Pastor Robert Kenney preaching. Directions: Hwy. 32 to Hwy. 97, then south to Olympia. Turn west on Hwy. E, to Vernon County line (about four miles, first cross roads). South to church on left side, (about two miles).
