During his Nursing Report at the Cedar County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, Aug. 15, Chief Nursing Officer Drew Alexander reported that the hospital was down four RN’s and is currently having to use very expensive agency nurses to cover the shifts. The Board of Directors of Cedar County Memorial Hospital will conduct a meeting beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, in the classroom at Cedar County Memorial Hospital. The tentative agenda of this meeting includes: New Business:  Approval of Tax Rate plus the usual reports.

The Cedar County Ambulance District Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, in the  Stockton Ambulance Barn. Unfinished Business will include Tower update, Inventory and Audit Update. New Business will include Certificate of Appreciation, Bookkeeper bids and District 1.

Descendants of David P. and Edith N. Taylor will meet Sunday Aug. 14, at the Lions Club building on South Jackson in El Dorado Springs for their annual reunion. The annual carry-in dinner  at 12:45 p.m. will be followed by a time of picture taking and visiting.

Activities sponsored by the Friends of the Library include Take and Make packets that will be in the library on the 10th of August and Story Time on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. These projects are for children ages 2-12.
