Dec. 25, is a day most people see as a day of hope and new beginnings. It is that day that Fred left his earthly body began his new heavenly journey with his new heavenly body. Fred is survived by his children, Eric and Theresa, his bonus children, Mitch, Michael, Michelle and Marjorie, his sisters,

    Toby Joe Sallee, age 52, of Stockton, Missouri, passed away on January 14, 2025. Toby was born December 3, 1972, to Tony Lee Sallee and Betty Lou Sallee in El Dorado Springs, Missouri.  Growing up he enjoyed spending time with his grandfather, Alden Sallee, who shared with him the joys of outdoor life. 

Thomas E. Cheek, Sr., 79, Virgil City, passed away at his home surrounded by his family at his bedside, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, after a long courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. A graveside service for Thomas was held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Virgil City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Stanley Gray, 68, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024. A memorial service is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Jan, 10, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Claud Milton Hoffman, 93, passed away peacefully in Mount Vernon, MO, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024. Claud, son of George Lawrence and Bernice Loree (Downs) Hoffman, was born Oct. 24, 1931, on a farm two miles northwest of El Dorado Springs.  He grew up in a farm environment in Cedar County, attending rural country schools.

Stanley Alan Gray, 68, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, from a battle with an illness at HCA Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born to Ulous Leo Gray and Florence Lee (Smith) Gray on Oct. 8, 1956, in Kansas City, MO. Stanley was the 4th of five children. After High School

Robert K Sharpe, 74, El Dorado Springs, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024. Military honors will be scheduled at Leavenworth National Cemetery at a late date. In leiu of flowers donations can be to T2T (Tunnel to towers) and left in care of Bland Hackleman Funeral Home.

Donald Ray Richter, 70, left this life to meet his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. Don was born June 6, 1954, in Harrisonville, MO, the son of Elmer Richter and Frances (Creager) Richter. He was the seventh of nine children. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Lloyd Belcher who caught the train to Glory on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 at the age of 71. Born on March 20, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, to the late Lloyd (Pat) and Betty (Sunderwirth) Belcher, David developed an early passion for trains.
