Lina Lou (Carroll) Allen, 89, Butler, passed away on April 7, 2017, in Medical Lodge in Butler. Services were held on Tuesday, April 11, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Burial followed in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Larry Dean Brown, a.k.a. Bub, 65, passed away with his family at his side at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City April 1, 2017. Larry was born March 6, 1952. Larry lived in El Dorado Springs all his life and graduated High School in 1970. After graduation, he worked as a surveyor for a year.

Barbara was born May 12, 1939, in Vernon County, the daughter of Walter Duckett Taylor and Ida Louise (Moore) Taylor. Barbara attended Nevada High School until the eleventh grade. Louise Wilcox Breshears, 89, was born April 7, 1927, to Alice Dirks Wilcox and James Benjamin Wilcox at El Dorado, KS. Peggy Joann Oberly, 77, daughter of G.L and Opal (Todd) Bowen, was born Nov. 15, 1939 in Filley. She passed away March 27, 2017, in Appleton City. Peggy graduated from El Dorado Springs High School in 1957 and lived at home until her marriage to Dan Oberly on Feb. 20, 1959 in Filley West Church.
