Our leader, Robbie, opened the meeting. Kay led us in singing “I Believe” out of the new song books Carol, Linda H and Kay compiled for us.

We said our pledges and had roll call.

23 members weighed in today. There was a tie for best loser of the week. Kay lost 2 lbs and Jan lost 2 lbs. Potato bake was discussed. We will meet at 5:00pm in the Community Center on Wednesday, Sept. 28 to set up for the following day.

Jean presented a program from TOPS magazine titled: Hold The Guilt, Please!

We let food rule our lives by saying something like, “Oh, I was so bad last night! I had a whole slice of cake”. My diet is ruined-I was good and didn’t eat carbs all last week, but then yesterday, I had an entire bag of potato chips.” Do not give your food the power to make you a good or a bad person.

We then talked about without labeling them “good” or “bad” which foods make your body feel energized and healthy? Which foods make you happy?

When we balance our healthy foods with a few indulgences, we can lighten up without feeling deprived.

We welcome anyone who is interested in losing weight. Please consider joining us.
