Mt. Zion Club met Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Rockville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall hosted by Marge Zink and Beverly Pelkey. Roberta taught us to make a skeleton from our five milk jugs, laughter and fun was contagious as we cut parts for our skeletons. We were all proud as kindergartens with our skeletons. After a bountiful meal at noon, we enjoyed potholder bingo; until the early 1930s, potholders were known as kitchen quilts. Business was conducted; roll call was your favorite fall leaf. We will meet Oct. 19 at the Marge Zink home, our club has celebrated 93 years of continuous service to our community.

Beverly Pelkey, Marge Zink and Sheri Suster accompany Dixie Peterson to Bunco at the library in Lowry City; they all had a good time. Dixie Peterson kept her doctor appointment getting a good report.

Tom Pelkey kept his doctor appointment getting ready for eye surgery.

Lots of corn shelling going on in the Mt. Zion area, soybeans next.

At the Robin Siegismund’s, eggs are still hatching; the billy goats are ready to return.

Julia Snethen made at trip to Whiteman and then on to granddaughter, Shella Akers, to help her with packing to get ready for her move.
