El Dorado Springs police officers responded to the Gene Pray Memorial Golf Course Pro Shop on Tuesday, Oct. 11, concerning a burglary at the golf course cart shed that had occurred sometime during the night. Thieves had removed screws and pulled back a metal panel on a back corner of the shed and removed several items including: two full sets of Callaway golf clubs in separate bags, clubs in a “revolver” type black Bag Boy golf bag, Titleist bag with a set of left handed Callaway golf clubs, three more bags of clubs, Callaway golf clubs in black and white Titleist golf bag, Leopold GX-316 Rangefinder, pair of Swarovski binoculars, Callaway XR-16 driver, Callaway  #3 Fairway XR-16, Callaway 05 hybrid number 5 and number 7, set of Cobra Amp cell Pro Irons, Titleist Vokey 56 degree wedge, Titleist 60 degree wedge, Taylor made Rosa Inza putter, Titleist Scott Cameron select Newport putter and an Adam “tight lies” 12 piece set.

According to Pro Shop manager Dick Gardner the items stolen represent several thousands dollars of equipment. He says the city has taken steps to reinforce the inside of the golf cart sheds.

The police department is continuing the investigation.
