EASTERN STAR INSTALLS NEW OFFICERS – El Dorado Springs Chapter # 148 Order of the Eastern Star began their new year with an open installation of officers on Saturday, Nov. 5. The installing officers were: Installing Matron – Retha Squires, Installing Patron – C.L. Squires, Installing Marshal – Wanda Reno, Installing Chaplain – Alberta Hays, Installing Organist – Lawrence Cripps and Installing Floral Marshal – Sherlene Netsch.
The officers for the 2016-2017 year are: Worthy Matron – Norma Jean Alumbaugh, Worthy Patron – Sam Eaves, Associate Matron- Deanna Shouse, Associate Patron- Guy Shouse, Secretary – Dorothy Palmer, Treasurer – Mert Fogler, Conductress – Dorothy Foster, Associate Conductress – Lana Sue Jones, Chaplain – Janice Stark, Marshal – Linda McCormick, Organist – Kay Fogler, Adah – Paula Gray, Ruth – Dee Ann Wallen, Esther – Pat Prough, Martha – Glenda Pate, Electa – Lana Richardson, Warder – Tom Jones and Sentinel – Everett Prough.
Distinguished members attending were Retha Squires, Past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Missouri, Order of the Eastern Star; Deanna Shouse, Grand Representative of Vermont; Pat Willis, Grand Representative of South Dakota; Sherlene Netsch, Grand Representative of Arkansas; and Glen Hays, Grand Representative of West Virginia.
The next chapter meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 followed by the business meeting at 7:30 p.m. We are planning for a good year and encourage all members to attend.
