Mt. Zion Bible study meets in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night; we invite you to join us.

Don’t forget the Soup, Chili and Dessert lunch at the Taberville Volunteer Fire Department building Nov 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The money raised will go to the up-keep of the Old School Building in Taberville, you will enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch. Don’t forget the 50-50 and the quilt raffle, can’t win if you don’t buy a ticket.

The VFW auxiliary turkey dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 12, at the Park building in Appleton City. Home cooked with a little planning, you will not mess up your kitchen if you eat with us; looking forward visiting with everyone at the Duckless Duck pond.

Mt. Zion Club will meet Nov. 16 in the Marge Zink home for an afternoon meeting.

The weather in the Mt. Zion area has been wonderful some neighbors got a one and a half to two inches of rain which was nice most all the beans are harvested.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey kept Tom’s eye appointment Wednesday in Warrensburg.

Visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Stacy Griffith, Kent, Mitchel, Jodi and Tucker Crawford.

Our Sympathy to the family of Wilma Dines funeral services for Wilma was last Thursday; she grew up in the Mt Zion area.

Recent visitors in the Mabel Siegismund home were daughter Rachel.

John and Julia Snethen have had a busy week Wednesday Julia met Donna Hudson in Osceola and they traveled to Warsaw to attend Chapter # 507 installation, Wednesday morning Julia ran errands in Clinton stopping by to see Maureen Wallace who had the flu. Thursday Julia had some work done on her car in Lowry City so she spent the day with John on the bus in Bolivar. Saturday Julia and John attend Osceola Chapter #30 installation and finally Julia, John and son Ron attended the 51st wedding anniversary of Bob and Janice Hood and Janice birthday party at Pizza Glen in Clinton. Those attending were Jana Williams and her family, Robert Hood and his family, Junior Hood, Jane Sanders, Janet and John Young and Lexie.
