A Bronaugh resident is in custody after a lengthy pursuit in the final hours of 2016. According to Vernon County Sheriff’s Office Officials, a vehicle failed to yield when a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop near Oldtown Road and 1900 Road. Additional units were called out to assist in the pursuit that led deputies to the South end of the county, and then into Cedar County before coming to a stop. Member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol also assisted in the pursuit.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said the suspect has been identified as Robert D Vance, 32. Mosher said Vance was taken into custody at approximately 11:00 pm.

“He was the last pursuit of 2016 and the last arrest of the year,” said Mosher.

Warrants were issued for Vance for Driving while revoked and Resisting Arrest. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash only.
