Mt Zion Club met April 28, in the Marge Zink home for an all-day meeting. Thirteen ladies enjoyed visiting before noon then enjoyed soup and salad sandwiches and desserts at noon.

After lunch meeting was called to order by Marge Zink.  Rool call was your favorite vegetable. Wilma gave the devotion from Ezekiel. Secretary and Treasurer Reports were given. Made a donation to Mt Zion Cemetery and received our new  2021 club books as this was the first meeting of the year.

Our Program was by Donna Harris who gave a very interesting report on her family history. Titled Strong women coming to America by the way of Russia to Prussia to western Kansas later Kansas City. She had documents, pictures, an essay book written in German, grandmother’s wedding dress, Donna’s crochet baby dress, and a dress from the first piano recital her mother made for her.

The Mt Zion Club was honored to have present Roger Schiereck with this year’s Mt. Zion Veterans Quilt. Roger remembers coming to club with his mother before he went to school.  We were very happy to honor our neighbor.

Family is the Mt. Zion Club theme for this year. Next meeting May 26, at Marge Zink home at 1 p.m.
