John Sieleman jailed on sex offender registration and traffic charges

An El Dorado Springs man was taken into custody on June 8 on multiple warrants alleging failure to register as a sex offender and a traffic violation.

John Sieleman, 46, was arrested by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 11:54 a.m. Court records show Sieleman is charged with failure to register as a sex offender pursuant to Missouri law and failure to wear a properly adjusted or fastened safety belt.

Records list two separate counts of failure to register as a sex offender tied to the same offense date of June 8, 2026. One count carried no bond at the time of booking, while the second count carried a $5,000 cash or surety bond. Bond on the safety belt violation was set at $250, cash only.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

James Duncan

James Duncan Jailed on Felony Stealing Warrant

A Springfield man was taken into custody on June 6 on an outstanding felony warrant related to a 2020 theft case.

James Duncan, 41, was arrested by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 2:22 p.m. Court records show Duncan is charged with stealing property valued at $750 or more, a felony offense. The alleged offense date is listed as April 17, 2020.

At the time of booking, no bond had been set.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

Carl Ruth

Carl Ruth jailed on escape and drug possession charges

A Golden City man was taken into custody on June 4 on felony warrants alleging escape from custody and drug possession.

Carl Ruth, 29, was arrested by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 1:14 p.m. Court records show Ruth is charged with escape or attempted escape from custody while under arrest for a felony and possession of a controlled substance, excluding 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid.

The alleged offense date for both charges is listed as Aug. 25, 2022.

Records indicate the escape-related warrant was issued as a capias warrant following prior court proceedings. At the time of booking, no bond had been set on either charge.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.

Bill Lewis

Bill Lewis jailed on sex offender registration charge

An Everton man was taken into custody on June 3 on a felony warrant alleging failure to register as a sex offender.

Bill Paul Lewis, 48, was arrested by the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Cedar County Jail at 9:54 a.m. Court records show Lewis is charged with failing to register as a sex offender pursuant to Missouri law. The alleged offense date is listed as June 3, 2026.

Records indicate the warrant was issued as a capias warrant following prior court proceedings. No bond had been set at the time of booking.

As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.
