Treasurer Sue C gave the treasurer’s report for January.

Contest:  Will wait till next week for the results of the Bingo contest.

Linda read some correspondence from TOPS Headquarters.  We do not have to pay a workshop or maintenance fee this year as there were no workshops available.

Claudia sent the monthly newsletter.  The IRD has been cancelled and will be virtual this year.

We sang Happy Birthday to Marie.

It was noted Juanita’s birthday will be tomorrow.

Program: Marie had the program today.  She took her program from a TOPS Magazine.

“Is your weight-loss ship sinking or sailing?”

Your six-point safety check of your ship

1. Am I captain of my ship?  Be sure you are in control of your ship

2. What is my weight loss dream and what am I doing to achieve it?

3. Am I staying the course or am I abandoning the ship?

4. Who or what in my life needs to walk the plank so I can be healthier?

5. What things are keeping me from reaching my weight loss destination?

6. Am I paying close attention to how I fuel and care for my body?

Marie said some things a ship’s captain needs are: a compass to keep you going the right direction. Life Preserver when you go overboard you can check with a TOPS Pal for encouragement. You need an anchor by attending meetings and weighing in. The wheel helps you stay the course by attending meetings. A spy glass helps you track your food and water intake and a barrel to purge unhealthy food and overeating candy and cookies.

Thank you, Marie, for a great program.  We loved your assistant, Margie as well.

With no other business we closed with the quote of the day. “Act as if what you do makes a difference-it does!”

And our motto IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.
