Tops Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the United Methodist Church, 201 E Broadway on Thursday, July 2, 2020 for their weekly weigh in and meeting.

Leader, Susan led us in our TOPS & KOPS pledges. Carol led us in singing “Hooray”.

Susan read a part of a letter from Sylva, Western Missouri Coordinator. Instead of State Recognition Days we will hold Area Recognition Day on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at Clinton in the Benson Center.

It will be a one-day event 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. She will be sending information on t-shirts, charms and registration later in July. They will have raffle baskets and tickets.

Susan also read a letter from Advocate, Claudia Gaylord, if we want to have an “installation of officers she will be glad to come and help. Summer contest will consist of members writing “what TOPS means to me”, putting it in an envelope with your name and chapter number on it and turning it in to our leader who in turn will get it to Claudia. Also, summer contest winners must lose weight and exercise/walk. She will either mail awards to the chapter or bring them to us.

Marble Game Robbie won the right to draw for the marble and drew the winning one, she won $160.50. Congratulations Robbie.

We sang Happy Anniversary to Juda and Fred; they will celebrate their 5th anniversary on the 4th.

Susan led us in roll call 22 weighed in, the chapter had a 15.6 net LOSS. Best loser was Laura with a loss of 4.6 lb. Other great losses were; Sandi, 3.8, LJ 1.8, Robbie 2.4, Pam 1.0, and Juda 1.6. Congratulations to all.

Marilyn presented awards for March, May and June.

For the month of March, we had a Loss of 34.8 and a Gain of 46.6 giving us a net gain of 11.8 lbs.

The March winner of free dues drawing was Laura; Best Loser for March was Chris W with a loss of 4.6 lbs.; Pam L received Certificate and charm for 10 lb. loss 3-5-20; Laura H received certificate and charm for 80 lb. loss 3-12-20; Carol S received certificate for 12-year KOPS and a certificate for an all-black year.

For the month of May: (weigh-in only)

For May we had a loss of 51.4 lbs. and a gain of 88.0 giving us a NET gain of 36.6 lbs. This shows we need meetings to keep us on track.

Winner of free dues for May was Laura; Best Loser for May was Pam L, she lost 10.6 lbs. and won a whopping $1.75.; Pam received certificate for 15 lb. loss 5-14-20 and certificate and charm for 20 lb. loss 5-28-20.

For the month of June: we had a gain of 49.4 lbs. and a loss of 57.4 giving us a net loss of 8 lbs.

Winner of free dues for June was Chris W.; Best Loser for June was Laura H with a loss of 7.6 lbs.

Members “on the stick” with 20 lbs. or less to lose to goal are:

LJ, Judy B, Linda C, Linda H, Margie and Sue C.

Susan presented some very special awards: These would have been presented at a special recognition ceremony but due to the virus we were unable to do that.

Sandi B won first place in Division 1 with a loss of 43.2 lbs. for the year 2019

Laura H won first place in Division 2 with a loss of 72.2 lbs. for the year 2019

Robbie C won 2nd place in Division 2 with a loss of 31.0 lbs. for the year 2019

Linda C won 1st place in Division 4 with a loss of 28.8 lbs. for the year. 2019

Each division winner received a special certificate.

We had 4 members who had perfect attendance for the year 2019 they were: Juanita S,

Sheryl W, Sue C and Marilyn D.

They all received a certificate and charm

A certificate was presented to Marilyn and Carol our weight recorders who sent in a PERFECT resume.

This is a very detailed report that must be sent to TOPS Organization each year it is very hard to not make any mistakes in this detailed of a report.
