TOPS presents June awards

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building 700 E. Hospital Rd., on Thursday, July 2, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren called the meeting to order

Carol led us in singing “Happy Birthday TOPS” to the tune of American the Beautiful.

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges

Waren led us in roll call, 13 members weighed in. We had a gain of 2.8 and a loss of 8.2, giving us a net loss of 5.4 pounds! We had some good losses today, Sheryl lost 1.2, Pat lost 3.0 and our Best Loser for the Week, Pam lost 3.4 pounds. Congratulations Pam!

Marilyn presented the awards for June. Linda H was unable to be here today as she is with her daughter who recently had surgery, and of course her mother needed to be with her. The surgery was successful and Linda will be back soon.

The awards: Linda C received an award for TOPS Best Loss 2nd Quarter, losing 2.8 pounds, and an award for TOPS Walking for Health, most miles walked in 6 months, she walked 832 miles. For this accomplishment she received a certificate and charm.

Jan received a Back in Black Certificate

Pat received a 500 miles walking certificate.

KOPS AWARDS: Sue earned her KOPS in Black with Perfect Attendance certificate, having 13 weeks under goal she received KOPS Under Goal Certificate.

Marilyn earned her KOPS in Black with Perfect Attendance certificate, having walked 799 miles for the year, being under goal also earned the KOPS Walking for Health most miles walked certificate and charm also having 13 weeks under goal, KOPS Most Under Goal certificate Juanita earned her KOPS in black with perfect attendance certificate and her 1,000 miles walked certificate.

Steve earned his KOPS in Black with Perfect Attendance certificate and he lost 5.6 pounds in June made him the BEST LOSER OF THE MONTH. He won the Best Loser pot which had grown over the past 6 months to $84.22. Congratulations Steve!!

Winner of the free dues drawing was Jean, since she is a KOPS, she gave the month’s free dues to Sheryl.

In June, we walked all together a total of 1,377 miles. We were down in miles from May. We had 15.4-pound gains, and 11.8 losses giving us a net Gain of 3.6.

Pam received a long overdue “New Member” Charm for bringing in a new member.

Marble Game: There is $37.50 in the pot, Sue won the chance to draw and she drew the winning marble. Congratulations Sue.

Reminders: Measurements will be taken on July 9 and Election of officers will be on July 9 as well. The contest ends on the last weigh in in July.
