TOPS presents the awards for January

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building 700 E. Hospital Rd, on Thursday Feb. 5, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Our Leader, Warren called the meeting to order.

Carol led us in singing “Rock Off the Pounds.”

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges

Warren led us in roll call, 13 members weighed in. We had a 13.6 pound gain and a 2.4-pound loss, giving us a 11.2 net gain.

Best loser for the week was Erin with a 2.0-pound loss. Congratulations, Erin.

Linda H presented awards for the month of January.

Warren received a back in black with a perfect attendance certificate.

Erin won First place in Most Inches Lost from July to December, she lost 10”.

Jan won 2nd place in Most Inches Lost, she lost 5.4”.

Pat was the best loser for the month of January; she lost 4 pounds. A member must lose at least 5 pounds to qualify for the money. The pot currently is at $25 so if we have a TOPS lose more than five pounds in February they stand to win quite a bit of money.

KOPS awards:

Sue was 2nd place in Most Inches Lost she tied with Jan; she lost 5.4” as well

Linda H also was in 2nd place for Most Inches Lost she also lost 5.4”, giving us a 3-way tie.

Winner of free dues was Margie. Since Margie is a KOPS, she passed her winning to Jan.

The Chapter and 22.4-pound gains in January and 37-pound losses giving us a net loss for January of 14.6 pounds.

Warren said he needed to make clear that KOPS do not have to pay chapter dues each month, if they want, they can make a donation towards the State Recognition Day fund. TOPS members must pay $5 a month chapter dues. If a KOPS falls out of “Leeway” they must pay the TOPS fee of $5.00 a month until they regain KOPS status.

He also advised us to remember if school is closed because of the weather TOPS will cancel as well.

Marble game: There is $4 in the pot, Jean won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.
