TOPS second time for zero gains

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building, on Thursday, Sept. 4, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Our Leader, Warren called the meeting to order.

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges

Warren led us in roll call, sixteen members weighed in. We had great news to report; we have a NEW KOPS! Sue reached her goal at today’s weigh-in. This is the second New KOPS in a row. Congratulations Sue! Also, we had zero gains today, and we had a 20-pound net loss. Way to go let’s keep us the good work!

Our best loser for the week was Jan with a 4-pound loss.

Some other great losses were: Pam lost 10.4 pounds (in a two-week period), Erin lost 2 pounds, Warren lost 1.2 and Sue lost 1 pound which put her at KOPS status.

Linda Hall had the program today as today is awards day.

Linda C received 1,000 miles walked certificate

Erin received her back in black with perfect attendance certificate and her 30 and 35-pound loss certificate, and she is Half-way to goal and received a certificate and charm for that as well.

Erin was our best loser for the month, losing 6.8 pounds for the month of August and she won $10. Congratulations Erin!

Juanita received her reinstated KOPS Certificate and Charm.

Pam received her 45-pound loss certificate.

Winner of free dues was LJ.

Juanita and Sue have climbed off the goal post and are now KOPS.

The chapter as a whole had gains of 16.4 and losses of 26.8 giving us a net loss of 10.4 pounds for the month of August.

Marble game: there is $27.50 in the pot. Carol won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Warren said there is no need to read the secretaries report since it is sent out to each member after each meeting.

Contest: Pat reported this was a very good contest and everyone seemed to enjoy it. We had $50 from entry fee’s which we were able to give the 1st place winner $10, the Second-place winner $5 and the third-place winner $3. Turns out we had a tie with third place winners, and we were able to give each of them their award of $3.

The winners are: Linda Hall first place winning $10; Warren 2nd place, winning $5 and the tie for third place, Sue and Jan each winning $3. The Chapter earned $29. Congratulations to all who entered, we are all winners!

Pat suggested we start a new contest in October, maybe one that will run through the holidays. She thanked all members who entered this contest. We thank YOU Pat for doing such a fun and productive contest.
