TOPS spring baked potato luncheon coming March 15

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Hill Church, 1300 S. Summer St, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, Feb. 9, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.
Linda Hall Co-Leader called the meeting to order.
Pam led us in singing “It’s A TOPS World”
We said our TOPS & KOPS Pledges
Linda led us in roll call; Sixteen members weighed in. We had a 15 lb. loss and a 5 lb. gain resulting in a net loss of 10 lbs. Best loser for the week was Pat with a loss of 4.8 lbs. Congratulations Pat!
Linda Hall caught up with some January Awards: Ray received a 1-year KOPS Award that he earned in April of 2022. This award was overlooked last year.
Sheryl received 10 lb. loss award and a half way to goal award.
Pam received a 30 lb. loss award. Pam was also the best loser for January with a loss of 9.2, she won $31.95 since no one won for November and December. Pam is now in a new decade.
Pat lost 5.6 for the month of January.
Judy B had the program for today. She presented a new idea for a new contest.
She has prepared a Bingo card for the members who want to participate. It will run for 4 weeks and will cost $2 to join. Each week she will read off a list of foods and if a member has eaten the food, they get to mark off a square. She also challenged each member to lose 3 lbs. each week. This contest would start March 9. Warren made a motion to accept this contest, Stephanie 2nd motion carried.
Warren gave the current contest report: Jan is in 1st place; 2nd place Pam and 3rd is Tammy.
Marble game: Sue won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.
Upcoming Baked Potato luncheon was discussed. If a member gets delivery orders, please see Linda Hall for delivery slips.
Linda asked about the price, we charged only $8 last time, but costs have increased. Judy B motioned we charge $10, Marie 2nd motion carried. Motion passed
Linda Hall asked that members who live close bake the potatoes so they do not have to sit so long. The Potato Bake will be March 16 setup will be Wednesday, March 15.
We will hold a TOPS Walk on April 13 to celebrate our chapter’s anniversary. More information later.
We sang Happy Anniversary to Warren and Linda who are celebrating their wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day.
