TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) met in the Church of Christ Meeting Room on Thursday, March 23.

Twenty-six members weighed in. Best loser for the week was Angie with a loss of 6.2 lbs.

The chapter had a net loss of 8.4.

Marguerite celebrated her 87th birthday.

Carol is celebrating her two year KOPS Anniversary.

Sheryl won the right to draw for a marble and had Juanita draw for her but she got a green one,

Warren reported on the contest. Carolyn and Sue tied for third place. Second place went to Juanita and 1st place went to Steve. Steve won $15 and Juanita won $5.

Warren is working on a new contest. It is based on consistency. You determine how much you will lose each week within .2 of a pound. If you hit that goal you get 0 points, if you go under or over more than 02 you get points. Goal is to have 0 points and the one with the least points and most weight loss wins. Warren will have more details next week.

Jan T made motion we do this contest and Carol 2nd. Motion passed. The cost to enter is $1.

Robbie read a poem “Planting Your Spring Garden”, Garden Of Daily Living.

The floor was turned over to Marilyn and Carol who presented our Recognition Day awards.

The theme was “TOPS Fleet” There are seven ships in our fleet. First award “Battleship” this person battled weight loss and won, she lost 41.2 lbs in 2016. Juanita received the Battleship award.

Cruise Ship award. The person who keeps our ship running smoothly, Warren Hall.

Tug Boat award, Susan S won for her perseverance and perfect attendance.

Submarine award, Sandi B won for steady weight loss.

Ferry Boat award, the workhorse of the fleet, Sheryl Ann for all she does for the chapter.

Life Boat award, the one who encourages and reaches out to others, Linda H.

Row Boat award moves slowly has lots of patience and work to get where it is going, Verna T is the winner of this award. She has over the years lost 65 pounds with TOPS.

The Flag Ship awards go to our Division winners. They are the chapter’s best losers for 2016. In Division 1 2nd place goes to Angie for losing 12.6 lbs in 2016. 1st place in Division 1 goes to Sandi B for losing 14.2 lbs in 2016 and having six weeks continuous loss.

Division 2, 1st place goes to Chris Witt, he lost 14.2 lbs in 2016

Division 3, 1st place to Juanita, she lost 41.2 lbs in 2016 and had six weeks continuous loss three times in 2016.

Division 4: 1st place to Susan S. Susan lost 19.8 lbs in 2016.

Carol presented Marilyn with a red rose for being the only member in the chapter with perfect attendance for the whole year.

Sheryl presented Carol and Marilyn with gift certificates for putting a wonderful program together today and for all their hard work all year long.

The floor was turned over to Robbie who led a celebration of KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly). There currently are nine KOPS members in our chapter. They are: Melanie Shinn, two year KOPS as of August 2016, Dorothy Foster two year KOPS as of November 2016

Marie Barlow two year KOPS as of December 2016

Marilyn Dresch five year KOPS as of December 2016

Sharon Hawn eight year KOPS as of October 2016

Carol Stubock two Year KOPS as of March 2016

Paul Goodwin 12 Year KOPS as of 2016

Jean Lovewell 11 year KOPS as of 2016

Marguerite Goodwin 15 year KOPS as of November 2016

Each KOPS received a yellow rose and another yellow rose to give to a TOPS member they wanted to encourage.

We are very proud of the accomplishments of all our members.

We closed with our motto. “If It Is To Be, It Is Up To Me.”
