The members of the Twentieth Century Club met March 13, with Sherry Wiseman, who served as hostess with Dorothy Foster serving as co-hostess.

The meeting was called to order by President Sandi Eaves. The destination for our annual May trip was discussed but no decision was made.

Glenda Ware gave the opinion on fake news. The news we hear today can be slanted, made up or someone’s opinion. It could be called bias news. Most news is accurate; but some maybe false, so people need to check the accuracy of the information presented.

The entertainment, provided by Sharyl Henry, was a word search about St. Patrick’s Day.

Our program was given by Sherry Wiseman on National Parks and a history of the Park Service. The bill to establish a National Park Service was signed by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916. There are 84.4 million acres in parks today. Yellowstone was the first National Park in the world.

She showed photos of the parks they had visited: Yosemite, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Glacier, Mt. Rainer, Crater Lake, Lake Louise and the Tetons.
