Linda Hall, Leader, called the meeting to order.

Ray and Carol led us in singing “We’re the TOPS Club Members.”

We said our TOPS and KOPS pledges.

Linda H led us in roll call and walking report. Twenty-Four members weighed in, we had a Loss of 20.2 and a gain of 5.0 resulting in a net loss of 15.2 lbs. Best loser for the week was Warren with a loss of 3.4 lbs. Congratulations Warren. Other great losses were: Robbie 2.4, Terri 1.6, Margie 3.0, Chris 2.2, and Sheryl 1.2.  Congratulations to all.

Today is the last day of the Summer Contest. Please turn in your exercise sheets to Robbie.

Laura had the program today. She spoke on Goals. Laura set goals for herself using visual aids such as a poster showing where she is and where she planned to be. Adjust goals if needed. Break your goals down to small portions, such as week by week. She decreased calories dramatically and increased activity. She learned a lot of her information from the TOPS Real Life Book. She keeps a daily food journal.  She used the TOPS My Day 1 Book to help her plan her meals. Laura is motivated by charms received for each pound loss and inches lost.  Find what YOU are motivated by and use that. Thank you, Laura, for a great program.

Marble Game: Judy B won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Contest: Laura reported on the results of the chapter contest. The BLUE Team was the winner and each member of the team got to pick a prize. Thank you, Laura, for a fun contest.

Linda Hall read a portion of Claudia’s letter. Fall Rally is Oct. 9, in Bolivar starting at 9 a.m. If you plan to attend you must pay the registration fee of $12 before Sept. 15.

Marilyn presented information on the next contest. She gave us an overview of what she is looking at and will present an in-depth plan next week. Basically, you must exercise at least three times a week and lose weight. More next week.

Jan and Constance presented the tasting dish today. It was Mediterranean Pasta Salad.  It was very good.

We sang happy birthday to Constance and to Ray.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with Linda’s quote of the day.

“Happiness is not something that is ready made, it comes from your own actions.”

And our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME.”
