Please note the date of the TOPS Baked Potato Luncheon is Thursday March 16th not the 15th. The information I sent you last week was confusing. We are meeting on Wednesday evening the 15th to prepare but the Baked Potato Luncheon is Thursday March 16.
TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Hill Church, 1300 S Summer St, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, Friday, Feb. 16, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.
Laura, our leader, called the meeting to order.

Laura led us in roll call; Nineteen members weighed in. We had a 9.2 lb. loss and a 13.8 lb. gain resulting in a net gain of 4.6 lbs. Best loser for the week was Sue C with a loss of 2 lbs. Congratulations Sue.
Marilyn had the program today. She asked what we all have but sometimes lose it. Self-Control is defined as Control of one’s everyday choices and actions. The Bible even speaks of Self Control. Proverbs 25-28 says A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
Self-control is very hard when dealing with food as we must all have food to exist.
But it can be done. There are many things in life we have no control of but what you eat can be controlled.
Marilyn then had us walk for a period of time. Thank you, Marilyn, for a great program. Your topic fell right into our discussion during roll call.
Linda Hall had some information on the upcoming SRD: If you ordered t-shirts or charms, please pay Sue for these as soon as possible as this order must go in right away.
If you plan to attend SRD you need to leave a deposit of $40 with Sue. If you go, your deposit will be returned.
Linda said the SRD committee is asking that no photos be taken. You can buy photos of the event from the SRD Committee. Please see Linda H if you want to sign up to attend.
March 2nd will be our Chapter Recognition Day.
Laura read an invitation from the Bolivar Chapter. They are having a TOPS 75th Anniversary celebration. It will be in Bolivar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 25. Cost is $3 per person. Chapters are encouraged to come with skits, information on their chapters and any information they want to share. It would be nice if our chapter could attend as a group.
Judy B announced she changed her challenge to loss of 2 lbs. per week starting on March 9. Ray B issued a challenge to the KOPS to bring a guest to each meeting for five weeks starting on March 9.
Sue reminded us dues are due.
Warren reported on the current contest; Jan is in the lead followed by Pam in 2nd place and Stephany in third.
Marble game: Sharron won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.
We discussed a TOPS Walk in celebration of TOPS 75th anniversary. This will also honor Juda Green-Fugate-Wosoba who was a founding member of the local chapter. The public is invited to this event. It will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 13. The walk will be held in the Lions Club Park.
