Our November club meeting was at the home of Jeana Oschner. The meeting was called to order by president Ursula Fuller. The Club Collect was read. Roll call response was “How are you preparing your garden for winter” with nine members present. Committee reports: Rama suggested we consider a landscape award to be given to a local business in the spring and fall. Was also discussed improvement in the Pink Garden sign.

Members will meet at the home of Ursula Fuller Dec. 6, at loam to prepare the Yearbook for next year.

Unfinished business: Marilyn indicated Woodsy Owl posters were ready to be judged and ask for volunteers to help. They are to meet at her home November 30 at loam with Sharon, Carol and Jean volunteered to help.

New business: Sharon gave a number of ideas to let the community know more about our garden club to help increase our membership. This would be reviewed at our January meeting. There was also discussion of doing projects at the City Park. Carolyn mentioned possibly giving scholarship awards to high school students.

Our Christmas dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 17, at home of Ursula Fuller.

Program: Jeana gave a program on Organic Food. Handouts were given explaining what was 100% organic and other 95% organic and what the difference was. What are considered the Dirty Dozen in fruit and veggies. What is Kosher food and what to look for on the labels. Good program.
