Twilight Gardeners Garden Club February meeting was held at Grace United Methodist Church.

Our program was given by Cheryl Marcum, a local resident committed to protecting the environment.  She presented information on CAFO’s and Corporate control of Livestock Markets and what it means for family farms and rural economies. Information was also given on Senate Bill 391. Good information was provided along with discussion.

Eleven members were present, along with an invited guest for the presentation.

A work day has been set for March 23 for cleanup in the Pink Garden.  We have been asked to assist Richard Scrch at  the Farmers Market in May.  We were also asked to work with the Museum on their tree walk in the Park.

Our state convention is May 4-6 in Cape Girardeau and the Spring SW District meeting is April 3 at the Botanical Gardens in Springfield.

Refreshments were provided by Carolyn.  We welcome new members, please come join us. Marilyn 417-876-7264.
