Seven members met on March 16, at the home of Carolyn West.

The meeting was called to order by President Ursula Fuller and the group recited the Club collect. For roll call each member was to share her favorite St. Patrick’s Day tradition.

The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved as read.

The treasurer’s report: was read and accepted.

Correspondence: It was announced that all correspondence had been forwarded via email.

Reports of Committees:  Arbor Day will be April 3rd. In the past we have planted a tree or shrub at a public area in the City. A motion was made and seconded (Jeana & Jennifer), to forgo planting anything this year Motion carried.

Under Unfinished Business: Sharon Lansing, Rama Hart and Ursula Fuller will attend the Spring meeting on April 2, at the Springfield Botanical Garden. Garage Sale will be as planned on May 7 and 8. We will set up for the sale in the evening of May 6. A copy of the plant sale license was received from the State president. Sharon will place ads in the paper; Carol will advertise on facebook; Ursula will advertise on party line and place signs.

Under New Business:  Our club secretary submitted a note of resignation due to personal reason. We certainly appreciate her faithful service for these past years. Ursula Fuller has temporarily agreed to take on the job of secretary. The venue for our monthly meetings needed to be changed. The club member, who had made it possible for us to use a room at one of the churches, is at this time uncertain if she will be able to continue this service each month. Venue will henceforth be announced before each meeting. A possible field trip/educational trip was discussed. Carolyn West will work on this and report next meeting.

Program: Carolyn West presented a program on four legged garden pests and how to deter them.  She gave examples of physical barriers as well as biological methods.

Our next meeting will be on April 20, 2021. At the home of Ursula Fuller

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned and the group recited the closing vows.

Our hostess Carolyn West then served delicious refreshments.

Respectfully submitted,

Ursula Fuller
