Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home each Tuesday, at 7 p.m., with 12 in attendance to study the Bible.

Mt. Zion Club will met Aug 21, in the Mage Zink home. All day meeting celebrating birthdays and working on crisis quilts.

In the Mt. Zion area the water is back in the creek banks mostly. The crops look good. Here in the middle of August and everything is still green and kids are going off to collage and school, the year is going fast. A thought from Mt. Zion: To thrive in life you need three bones, a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Mitchel, Jodi and Tucker Crawford.  Dixie been staying home and is better. Howard still has hay to do.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm Belle  is getting her point across to Robin that she needs popsicles. Belle has been making do by drinking water from the Air Conditioner to keep cool. Robin finally gave her a popsicle. Belle was so happy she run though the chickens while they were eating making them scatter; to Belle it was joy.

Bonnie Heiserman and Margie Siegismund enjoyed the dinner theater recently in the city.

Tom Pelkey is busy mowing grass, not had time to cut more wood just mow grass; but he has stacked some wood ready for winter. Beverly has been cleaning and going to exercise. They did make it to the store Wednesday.
