Mt. Zion area is having a green July; usually we are wishing for rain this time of year. Pastures, fields, plants, gardens and yards are all pretty and green.

Judy Piepmeier is very happy with her eye surgery, she can see so much more than before; helpful in keeping track of Terry.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle misses making snow angels so much she decided to make do with all the rain; Belle decided mud was a close second to snow, only a different color but soft and cool and felt so good those hot days making mud angels. Robin wasn’t happy that Belle was muddy, just hosed her off. Belle thought that felt good; but making mud angles was more fun.

Howard Petterson visited Dixie at Truman Lake Manor where Dixie is doing good at therapy.

Julia Snethen still doctoring for sinus infection.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey made a trip to Springfield where they meet Beverly’s son from California. It’s his first visit to Missouri. Tom is keeping the grass mowed, Beverly knows the humming birds don’t let the rain stop them from eating.

The Rockville Hand Quitters enjoyed Thursday afternoon quilting. Ladies got there before the rain and kept quilting until the rain stopped so they could go home. Our list is getting shorter; if you would like your quilt quilted by us ladies, we would enjoy doing it. Call Marge 660/598-4240.
