Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was conducted by Pastor Linda Wansing.  You are always welcome to join us for worship Sunday at 9 a.m. and Bible study Tuesday morning 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion area has had a light snow Saturday night and early Sunday morning covering the grass, but the fog was thick. We do need the moisture but I dislike the mud. We know there is a lot of winter to come.

Visitors in the Howard Peterson home this past week were Donnie and Charlene Crayton. Howard wanted friends and family to know that he is doing fine.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle is one happy dog, the snow came just like she likes it making  snow angels early then snow is gone by the time she finished her nap. Sister, Speck, not happy she got her hair brushed, she doesn’t like her new hair style. Petey just happy as always, the handsome one! Robin and Mabel are happy the chickens are laying a few eggs not enough to share.

Wanda Rector has been home all week dog sitting. I am sure she is planning a trip soon.

Mt. Zion Club met Jan. 19, in the home of Marge Zink for they regular meeting. Eight ladies enjoyed a carry-in taco lunch at noon. Wilma Williamson used Habakkuk 3:19 devotion. Time was spent tacking a quilt for the hostess. Entertainment was bingo. Robin won black out February 1 next meeting Lunch at 12:30 at the home of Marge Zink.

Julia and John Snethen spent a quite week at home only going out on Friday for Julia’s hair appointment and running a few errands in Clinton before retuning home.
