Morning message at Rockville United Methodist Church was by Leland Browning titled “Happiness.” You are welcome to join us for Sunday Worship at 9 a.m.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with 14 present to study the bible, always room for one or two more.

Mt. Zion area had its first frost Oct 12, looked like it had snowed, the best part, it didn’t kill the plants. We are enjoying the cooler weather.

Tom Pelkey even got small amount of wood in, in case it got cool enough for a fire. Most of the neighbors turned the furnace on; sure we’ll need the AC again that’s Missouri weather.

Dixie Peterson is doing therapy at the Truman Lake Manor. Visitors have been Mitch, Mark and Kent Crawford, Marge Zink, Betty Lou and others.

Wanda Rector and daughter gathered at Jeanie’s home in Bolivar to work on making a stained glass window. It was beautiful.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle knows she is queen and boss. Daniel came with Petey riding on the farm truck acting like “King of the Road.” Belle and Robin have no machines except what God gave them healthy legs. Daniel and Robin go shopping, leaving Petey and Belle home. It starts to rain; we all know Belle doesn’t like getting wet so she takes Peteys place under the farm truck and will not let him join her. So, Petey goes under the deck and does he have a story to tell. Daniel, please don’t leave me with Belle again.

Don’t forget Saturday Oct. 19 is the Quilt Show at the Rockville United Methodist Church  Fellowship Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Will be lots of fun besides the quilts and bed turning their is the Country Store lots of home made items, pies, cakes cookies and BBQ sauce, pickles and wooden horse etc.  The youth will serve lunch. We look forward to seeing you.
