Mt. Zion area is starting to look like fall, the corn fields are turning brown and some have been cut for silage, hay is still being bled. Its getting dark a little after 8 o’clock. So unusual to see lawn and pastures green this time of year. The humming birds are nearly gone, lot less at the feeder. Do miss them.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Kent Crawford and Marge Zink.

John and Julia Snethen visited Shella and David Vandivier in Knob Noster, enjoying breakfast in Clinton on the way.

James Rosburg had a large crowd at his 80th birthday party and Auction, Saturday James was raised in the Mt. Zion area.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle and Robin are preparing for fall, Bell  is conditioning the chickens. When Robin scatters grain for them, Belle runs through them making them scatter, Belle has the look of pure joy on her face. Robin is not very impressed; but the Chickens don’t seem to mind, and says its the little things that make one happy.

Happy Wedding Anniversary to Tom and Beverly Pelkey also Pastor Larry and Ronda Sorrells.

The Pelkey’s  humming birds are starting to leave, Tom sill mowing grass, thinking he should be cutting wood.
