Mt. Zion area is really looking like fall, the leaves are getting prettier each day. Corn and soybeans are being harvested. The flowers are really pretty as usual just before the frost gets them. Now would be a good time to enjoy a drive in the country, although there is a lot of pretty trees in town.

Mt. Zion Club will meet at 9 a.m.  Wednesday, Oct 21, in the Marge Zink home.

Marge Zink enjoyed the phone call from Dixie Peterson who is doing therapy at Truman Lake Manor. She enjoys getting mail and watching TV.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, not much excitement, Belle and Speck (Mable’s dog) have decided it would be fun to take turns taking care of each others masters at night so the past week their plan has worked; but Belle knows she will be on the lease again when Robin figures out their plain. Robin is still crocheting little people’s blankets.

Rockville Hand Quilters enjoyed an all-day quilting Thursday. A bountiful carry-in dinner was enjoyed at noon after Wilma gave thanks for the food, family, and country. Lots of quilting and visiting were accomplished.

Several birthdays have been celebrated in the neighborhood including Bonnie Heiserman.

Tom Pelkey and David Barns spent the day cutting wood for winter recently. The Wood Fairy is about ready for his big splash on Halloween, so far he has mums for decoration and the kittens like to play with him.

The hummingbirds have left so Beverly fines it easier to keep the windows clean.

John Snethen Keep his Oats Bus schedule, while Julia was shopping in Osceola.

Ron Thompson had several friends over for the weekend they enjoyed helping Ron with work around the farm.
