Moring message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Nicholas Van Dam was entitled, “Failing to Succeed” from Genesis 15:1-6; Saturday Vacation Bible School was held at the church. The Children and parents all enjoyed the day very much. Nice meeting Megan Van Dam Pastor Nick’s new bride.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home to study the Bible with eight in attendance.

Margrethe Koehn and June Marshall recently enjoyed lunch at Brown’s in Clinton.

Sympathy to the Tommie Roberts Funeral service was held Saturday in Osceola, Howard and Dixie Peterson was among those in attendance.

Mt. Zion area sure enjoyed Saturday and Sunday with the cooler weather; some got a shower of rain some did not. We know we will have more hot weather; as I looked out my window on those hot days the flowers that were blooming looked so pretty and fresh. The Naked ladies not even getting sunburn or tan.

Donna Harris is improving but not ready to dance yet. Sheri Suster got a good report from the doctor.

Sunday visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Eric Peterson, Kent Crawford and Beth.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey were busy this week; Beverly worked the election, Tom went to the doctor and trying to get the mowing caught up.

Julia and John Snethen had a quite week, she did get out to vote and went to Appleton City on Friday; John ran his bus route with Ron Thompson home for the weekend.
