News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3 and she will be closed all day on Friday, Oct. 4. She will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 5 at her regular time.

Helen Ellerman attended the funeral service for Jeanie Anderson at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home at El Dorado Springs Saturday morning, Sept. 28.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 29. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was about spiritual gifts taken from I Corinthians 12:1-17.

The Harwood and Schell City areas received around 3⁄4 inches of rain along with a lot of wind, thunder and lightning Saturday night, Sept. 28. Early in the week some places got almost two inches of rain. It had really been hot for the end of September.
