News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, says that as far as she knows, she will be open every day in January, except for Wednesday when she is closed anyway, unless the weather is bad.

Madalyn will have her Valentine’s Day dinner from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Mary Tomblinson, and daughter, visited a friend, Rosie Allen, at the Stockton Nursing Home Saturday, Jan. 18. They ate dinner at the Corner Restaurant in Stockton.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Jan. 19. I could not get a hold of Brother Mike Dunivan.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail their packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their box.

The weather in the Harwood and Schell City areas had been really cold this past week. Friday morning the area was really lucky. They had rain but it did not freeze very much like it was suppose to.
