Morning message at Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Larry Sorrells titled “Come and See” from John 1:29-42. You are always welcome to join us each Sunday at 9 a.m. for worship.

Mt. Zion Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly home Tuesday at 7 p.m. We had 10 in attendance this week.

Mt. Zion  Club met in the home of Marge Zink Jan. 15, with 10 ladies to enjoy their Christmas Party which was canceled due to weather in December. They met at 1 p.m.; the business meeting was conducted. Wilma gave the devotion “Your Cup of Coffee.” We played Bingo, winner chooses from among the Christmas presents. A special blackout prize was won by Mary Woods. We will meet on Feb. 19, at Marge Zink’s home at 1 p.m.

The Mt Zion area has plenty of winter weather, ice, sleet, snow, rain, warm days and cold days. Some of the early bulbs are coming up the wheat fields are pretty and green.

Dixie Peterson is improving doing her therapy, she called here twice last week; it was nice talking to her. Howard celebrated his birthday this past week. Dixie sure enjoyed her visitors.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle has not enjoyed the weather this past week with all the rain, snow and ice. She has to sleep in her nice doghouse but prefers to sleep under the stars, but she did get to greet her favorite mail lady Saturday. Robin still crocheting, Belle sure is glad she doesn’t have to wear sweaters like some dogs. Sweaters are for “sissy’s dogs”.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey are much improved. Tom is able to do his chores and did drive Sunday to Church, Beverly is almost finished with her therapy, still doing an exercise class.

John and Julia Snethen visited Wednesday in the David and Chyshella Vandivier home in Knob Noster.
