News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, is still just open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at her regular time and on Saturday she just services breakfast until 10:30 a.m. The Health Department had not told her that she can open up on Sundays yet.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards, and Cheryl’s two grandsons of Corder, visited in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday, June 21.

Madalyn Crocker had planned on having her Fourth of July celebration at the Schell City Park in June but she decided not to have it until July 25. She furnishes the meat and others that attended bring a side dish. There will also be fireworks at dark.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday form 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail out of their post office box.

The area is in had need of rain. The farmers had pretty well got their wheat out and beans but now they need rain.
