Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Linda Wansing was titled “Can We Have Heaven on Earth?” You are always welcome to join us Sunday at 9 a.m. for Worship, Tuesday 9 a.m. for Bible Study.

Sympathy and prayers for the family of Dane Shellmen. Funeral services were Saturday. Dane’s wife was a Mt. Zion girl.

Mt. Zion area has received lots of rain this week; some neighbors had more than others. Some of the corn is almost ready for harvest, the soy bean are growing, everything is pretty and green for August. Labor Day is fast approaching.

Enjoyed visiting with Dixie Peterson by phone from Truman Lake Manor, she was doing good enjoying her reading her mail.

Glad Sherri Suster is home from the hospital and doing well.

A slight cold slowed Wanda Rector down for a few days.

John and Julia Snethen attended the funeral service for Dane Shellman. Julia did her usual Friday errands Beauty Shop and shopping.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey and Rodney enjoyed lunch with Melissa and Caob Hallman in the Marge Zink home Wednesday.

Tom Pelkey is busy keeping the grass mowed. Beverly knows the hummingbirds will be leaving but the cats are always ready to eat. The cats do share their treats with her, like mice, moles, all kinds of strange creatures.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, Belle and Robin have come to an agreement; she can sleep in Grandma Marbles big barn where it is cooler. Belle has agreed for she likes here house. Robin has finished her latest little people blanket.

Rockville Hand Quilters enjoyed all day quilting and eating out last week.

Tri-County Quilt Club will meet Sept. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Rockville United Church Fellowship Hall. Call 660-598-4240 for information.
