Morning Services was by Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor Larry Sorrells entitled “Whoever Takes the son, Receives Everything;” you are always welcome to join us for at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning for worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home at 7 p.m. each Tuesday evening to study the Bible; there is always room for one more.

Mt. Zion Club meet July 17, in the home of Marge Zink, eight ladies enjoyed the delouse carry-in lunch before beginning to decorate Christmas stocking for children’s Christmas. Roll call was country your ancestors were from? Secretary and Treasurer report was approved as read; next meeting Aug. 21, the club will celebrate its 96th birthday.

We wish Charlie Wilson a speedy recovery after some stents put in.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson have been Stacy and Mike Griffith; Howard has been baling hay and Dixie made a trip to the doctor and is feeling better.

Mt. Zion area sure has a lot of hay being baled, the corn and soybeans are growing; several ladies have been canning and freezing garden produce; Tom’s blackberries are producing, nice to pick with no thorns.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm the heat is getting to Robin or Belle; Belle’s is in trouble, she was out barking out at Blind Betty for no reason, Robin scolded her and then Belle tried scolding Robin that was wrong Belle’s in the dog house now.

Wanda Rector spent the past week home getting some work done, she enjoyed getting to quilting on Thursday.

Tom Pelkey been busy mowing grass waiting for cooler weather to start cutting wood for winter; Beverly been busy freezing food for winter and going to exercise class.

John and Julia Snethen had a busy week with John running his bus route and attending Clinton Chapter # 73 meeting and Julia has been visiting granddaughter Shella and husband David.
