This was a busy week for lawmakers. Missouri Senators gathered in the Missouri House of Representatives twice this week, once to hear from Israeli Consul General Maor Elbaz-Starinsky, and again for the annual State of the Judiciary Address from Missouri’s Chief Supreme Court Justice

In addition, several of my bills moved forward in the legislative process. Senate Bill 834 would enact provisions relating to the disposition of certain reinsurance contracts. Senate Bill 835 would modify provisions relating to financial instruments. Senate Bill 1292 would modify provisions relating to financial transactions involving public funds. These three bills were heard in the Missouri Senate Insurance and Banking Committee, which I chair. Senate Bill 1251 would clarify provisions relating to pharmacy services in hospitals. Senate Bill 1287 clarifies who can provide dental services in correctional centers. These two proposals were heard in the Missouri Senate Governmental Accountability Committee. I will keep you apprised of all of my legislation as session progresses.
