Acting State Budget Director Dan Haug announced that 2016 fiscal year-to-date net general revenue collections increased 3.6 percent compared to 2015, from $2.10 billion last year to $2.17 billion this year.
Net general revenue collections for September 2016 increased by 5.8 percent compared to those for September 2015, from $842.1 million to $891.1 million.
Gross collections by tax type
Individual income tax collections
• Increased 4.6 percent for the year, from $1.50 billion last year to $1.57 billion this year.
• Increased 3.1 percent for the month.
Sales and use tax collections
• Increased 2.3 percent for the year, from $523.9 million last year to $536.2 million this year.
• Increased 9.4 percent for the month.
Corporate income and corporate franchise tax collections
• Decreased 21.8 percent for the year, from $126.3 million last year to $98.8 million this year.
• Decreased 19.2 percent for the month.
All other collections
• Increased 2.6 percent for the year, from $92.1 million last year to $94.5 million this year.
• Increased 90.2 percent for the month.
Refunds
• Decreased 12.3 percent for the year, from $147.1 million last year to $128.9 million this year.
• Decreased 19.5 percent for the month.
