The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) are actively planting Liberty Trees across the United States as part of the America 250 commemoration for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, culminating on July 4, 2026.

Local members planted a Liberty Tree, a Princeton American Elm, in the El Dorado Springs, MO park on Saturday, June 6.

A Liberty Tree is a living memorial symbolizing the unity, courage and call for independence during the Revolutionary War.  The original Tree was a famous elm in Boston that became a rallying point for colonial resistance before being cut down.

The Chapter is planting trees in El Dorado Springs, Nevada, Schell City, Walker, Bronaugh and Sheldon MO to honor the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
