LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD – Dr. Robert Magee. Dr. Magee practiced medicine and provided health care in this community for 37 years. He was instrumental in Establishing CCMH in El Dorado Springs in the early 60’s. He worked in his clinic, the ER, took care of in-patients, delivered babies, performed surgeries, provided nursing home care and even made home visits. Dr. Magee is the founding physician of the medical practice we all know today as Mercy Clinic. Dr. Magee retired from practice in 1991. He became active in our community through work in local civic groups. You can even find him picking up trash along the highway or serving Lion Burgers during the Picnic.
The award was presented by the Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jackson Tough.
