Special Road Board meets

The El Dorado Springs Special Road District board convened its regular monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, in the district headquarters building on South First Street in El Dorado Springs.

All members were present: Ron Swopes, Mike Bush and Lalan Cole – presiding. The district bookkeeper, Linda Breeden, was present.

Cole said that the crew had been mowing while they wait for the weather to get right to chip and seal all the paved roads that need it.

The directors approved the payment of bills totaling $6,916.85. Of that, $4,578 was the annual Workman’s Comp payment. Another $632.98 was to the City of El Dorado Springs for 25% of property tax receipts.

Breeden reported that the district’s total cash in bank is $269,223.12.

The board set their next meeting for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 26.
