Robert and Dixie Conner of El Dorado Springs marked 70 years of marriage on Feb. 1, 2017, but the big celebration will be Feb. 4. They were joined in Holy Matrimony in Ft. Scott, KS, on Feb. 1, 1947.
Mr. and Mrs. Conner are life-long residents of El Dorado Springs. They are members of the First Christian Church.
Their marriage was honored by the Missouri House of Representatives in the ninety-ninth session of the General Assembly. A copy of the Resolution signed by Mo. District 125 Representative Warren D. Love and House Speaker Todd Richardson was prepared and sent to them for display.
Friends and family will gather at their home on Saturday, Feb. 4, to join them in celebrating this momentous occasion.
Family members include Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Conner of Bella Vista, AR, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Nall, with great-grandsons Conner and Hunter, of Springfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Burbank, with great-grandsons Hayden and Garrison, of Conway, AR.
