Richard Beckham and the Herriman Chapel Camp Planning Committee invite you to join us under the tabernacle for our Fourth Annual Southern Gospel Festival.

This weekend of gospel music starts on Friday evening, Oct. 13, with a chili and soup supper fundraiser from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. followed by a free concert by the Shoal Creek Revival Quartet and will conclude with a pie auction and a drawing for a door prize.

Activities for Saturday, Oct. 14 will begin at 9-11 a.m. with a Classic Care Cruise In. A ‘Favorite of the People’ trophy will be awarded at 12 noon. Concessions will be serviced in the dinning hall all day.

Concert performances by New Horizons will start under the tabernacle at 11 a.m. Other music groups include the Shoal Creek Revival Quartet, Truelove, The Wanda Mtn Boys and Greg Blake with the Heartland Quartet.

Many would be interested to know that it has just been announced that Greg Blake has won the 2023 International Bluegrass Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year. He has performed at Silver Dollar City during various seasons since 1995. Greg was a former Kansas State Flatpick Guitar Champion. He was awarded the Blue Grass Guitar Performer of the Year five times by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America and nominated twice by the same organization as Male Vocalist of the Year. He was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year by the Bluegrass Music Association of Iowa in 2019. Greg’s latest two recorded singles have been in the Top Ten. Thirty years ago…the four young me of the Heartland Quartet combined their vocal talents and won a Kansas City talent contest.

Our Music Festival is a free, family friendly event with no charge for admission however, all financial compensation offered will come from your freewill offerings. Come and enjoy all day or just part of the day. Dress casual and comfy. Seating is available but you are welcome to bring you lawn chairs.
