Linda June Green

Linda June Green, age 76, of Peculiar, passed away Sept. 22, 2023 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

Linda was born in Lamar on Jan. 30, 1947, the daughter of Calvin H. Smith and Myrtle L. Greer. Linda graduated high school and soon after was joined in marriage with her late husband, Larry Green on June 8, 1968. Their union was blessed with three children, Mytzi, Nichola and Katrina. Linda was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Peculiar Linda especially enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Myrtle Smith; her loving husband of 50 years, Larry Green.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mytzi Stephens (Sam Lopez), Nichola Engle (Joe), and Katrina Caddell; sister, Glenda Ware; six grandchildren, Curtis Green, Ronee Gibbs, JoLee Stephens, Joey Engle, Spencer Engle, and Gavin Caddell; and one great-granddaughter, Sylvi Bowman-Green.

A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 29, at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar, 216 E. Broadway St., Peculiar, followed by a Celebration of Life.
