The Opera House Arts Council is planning another scholarship concert  this Thursday night Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. featuring John’s Daughter .

John’s Daughter, features local singer/songwriter Kim Kutina.  along with husband, Will Kutina.  They  and wife duo have been making music since their meeting in July 2011. Kim is the the daughter of El Dorado Springs local’s John and Kim Neal, and  has been writing and performing since 2008 after being strongly encouraged by her mother (and biggest fan) to do so  only six months after teaching herself to play.

Will Kutina, bassist, banjo and vocalist is a Nevada local, son of Mike Kutina and Mariellen Epling. Will began playing casually in 2010 self taught as well and his hobby soon became a passion after a chance meeting with Kim in 2011, both showing up to play music for mutual friends at a house party. They have since became inseparable in friendship and in music, their shared passion for music and good times is as catching as their music and they can be found often playing for friends and family. There music is original with a unique genre all its own, heavily influenced by old country, rock and Mo Town Blues.
