Cycles hit deer

Jeffery D. Robison, 23, El Dorado Springs, was taken by Barton County Ambulance to Nevada Regional Hospital with injuries reported as moderate after his southbound 2004 Aprilia Motorcycle struck a deer in Hwy. A four miles southwest of Milford at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.

According to the report by Cpl. J. E. Wilde, Robison was wearing a safety device. His cycle was totaled.

In a separate mishap, Jesse E. Murray, 55, Milo, was transported by Vernon County Ambulance to Freeman West in Joplin after his westbound 1981 Yamaha YICS 500 struck a deer in Yates Road about three miles northwest of Sheldon at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.17.

The report by Cpl. J Baird said Murray was wearing a safety device. Damage to the cycle was extensive.
