Roscoe Church to air War Room movie Aug. 21

War Room – Prayer is a Powerful Weapon – an engaging and thought-provoking Christian movie released in 2015, will be shown free of charge at Roscoe Christian Church, Roscoe. The movie will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21.

War Room will be aired in the church sanctuary. Following that, finger food and desserts will be served in the church basement. Everyone is welcome.

From brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the creators of the powerhouse Christian movies Courageous and Fireproof, War Room follows a husband and wife trying to cope with marital problems. The couple, Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, seemingly have it all – great jobs, a beautiful daughter and a dream home. But in reality, their marriage has become a war zone and their daughter is collateral damage.

But, with guidance from an older, wiser woman named Miss Clara, Elizabeth discovers how to start fighting for her family, instead of against it. But the question remains, as the power of prayer and Elizabeth’s newly-energized faith transform her life, will Tony join the fight and become the man he needs to be?
